This policy explains what data LiftUp collects, why we collect it, how we store it, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain English on purpose.
1. What we collect
- Account data: If you create an account, we store your email address and (optionally) a display name and avatar URL.
- Quote data: The mood, optional context, and generated quotes you produce, so we can show them back to you in Saved and History.
- Technical data: Standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention. These are retained for up to 30 days.
- Cookies: An authentication cookie if you sign in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
2. What we do not collect
We do not collect your contacts, location, microphone, camera, or any data from other apps on your device. We do not build advertising profiles based on your moods.
3. How your input is used
When you tap Generate, your selections (mood, type, optional context) are sent to our AI provider only to produce that one response. They are not used to train the underlying model.
4. Sharing
We share data only with the service providers needed to run LiftUp — our hosting platform, our database/auth provider, and our AI model provider. We never sell your data.
5. Advertising
LiftUp may display advertising from Google AdSense to keep the service free. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to LiftUp and other websites.
6. Children
LiftUp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or its deletion at any time by emailing privacy@liftup.app. We respond within seven days.
8. Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for signed-in users, notify you by email.
